bombs in bottles
Another of those "things too small for their own posts" posts, because I'm just not having coherent thoughts lately.
Anyone want to explain to me why the best political reporting I'm seeing lately is from Techdirt?
It's not the only good political reporting out there, but it's consistently thought through, researched, and on the nose. From Techdirt. Tech. Dirt.
Dear New York Times: if you're wondering why I canceled my subscription, it's because you were charging me $20 a month for something worse than what Techdirt gives me for free.
I'm semi-reviving my professional website. Which is to say that I moved my professional site URL to a Neocities site (I am not taking it back to Wordpress), which I am re-populating with some of my less-bad work examples.
I don't want to. It feels like selling out again. But I don't have to go back to social media; I just need a place to send potential clients that doesn't look like I wrote it in Notepad from my bathtub. I DID write it in Notepad from my bathtub, but I don't want it to LOOK like I did.
My extended family contains several Trump-voting small business owners. All of them were confident the tariffs were "no big deal"...until news from their overseas suppliers and/or overseas clients started rolling in.
Now every one of them is having a reaction I'm calling "Leopards eating MY face? In THIS economy??"
Yeah, Bill. Leopards. Your face. This economy.
Thanksgiving should be a treat.
